Maintenance

  • Rinse the mouthguard under cold water before each use.

  • Do not expose the mouthguard to strong heat sources, for example, do not place it in the dishwasher, the washing machine, the dryer, the oven, in cars left under the sun and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. When hot conditions are inevitable, we suggest you keep your mouthguard in a container with water.

  • Never wear another person's mouthguard and do not allow others to use your own. In addition to the risk of cross-infection, protection could be compromised, and the mouthguard damaged without the possibility of repair.

  • Always keep the mouth guard in its case when not in use. Write your name on the case with indelible ink.

  • Never wear the mouthguard with a mobile orthodontic appliance or with mobile dental prostheses.

  • If you are doing orthodontic treatment with invisible masks or with fixed brackets, you can use the mouthpiece after a visit from your trusted orthodontist.

  • The mouthguard should only be used as personal protective equipment according to these instructions. Fluobite must never be used for any other purpose.

  • Do not chew the mouthguard.

  • The mouthguard should be kept in a box when not in use in an ideal temperature environment. Use clean cold water (the temperature must not exceed 35 °) and a brush to wash and clean the mouthguard, after each use, before storing it dry in the box. Do not use toothpastes, detergents or other cleaning materials.

  • After each use, wash the mouthguard and its case with an antiseptic mouthwash.

  • Control your mouthguard with careful visual and manual inspection after each use; it should be replaced immediately in the presence of holes, cracks, fractures, or if the mouthpiece appears in poor condition.

  • Fluobite does not contain latex or materials that can cause allergic reactions to current knowledge.

  • Fluobite mouthguards are produced in an environment subjected to quality controls using medical silicone that does not cause allergic reactions and does not have a perceptible odor or taste.

Replace your mouthguard regularly especially if used frequently.
